Jan Kjelland, Licensed Foster Parent, Vice President
Jan Kjelland is currently the Vice President on the PATH North Dakota, Inc. Board. She and her husband, Mike, have been a foster parent for the past 16 years and has also served on numerous committees while with PATH. Jan served on the PATH Inc. Board for many years as well. She is a former teacher and holds a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum Development. After acquiring her graduate degree she was recruited by the National Foster Parent’s Association’s Speakers Bureau to train foster parents on a variety of topics at state & national conferences (NDFPA, AASK, NFPA, numerous state conferences). This experience soon became her passion and the next part of her journey became writing and editing curriculum for both NFPA & PATH, Inc. as a collaborative effort. In addition, she has written articles for local, state, & national newsletters & magazines.
