Jeremy Carney
Dr. Jeremy Carney is Associate Professor and Chair of the School of Social Work at Minnesota State University Moorhead. Jeremy completed a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from North Dakota State University.
Jeremy’s practice experience has emphasized the areas of child welfare, both public and private, and mental health care. He has worked for a number of area human service agencies including Clay County Social Services and Lakeland Mental Health Center.
Jeremy is married to Jennifer Heath, and together they have two children – Ian and Katie.
While Jeremy considers social work education his profession, he also has an avocation as a sports official. For the past 17 years Jeremy has been actively officiating high school and college football and basketball, as well as umpiring college, high school, and legion baseball. Jeremy’s personal interests also include camping, reading, and playing racquetball.
